I’ve had more than 1K visitors!
Ok, so I’m sure for all the experienced bloggers, and people who happen to be a “someone” on the web, having thousands of visitors pass through your blog on a daily basis is an everyday occurrence, but I had to take a moment, to just revel in the joys of passing that 1k visitors mark!
Admittedly this blog has only been up here, since May of 2007, and I’ve imported some of the content, from my other blogs.. I’m pretty sure I was getting a regular frequent readership during my travels through Peru, going back a few years, when everyone wanted to know what happening, how my travels were going, and I myself created a whole bunch of mystery and adventure around the whole experience.
Since then, it’s been a humbling experience, to rebuild my readership of this blog.. Which even though not significant, by some bloggers standards, it’s really wonderful to see the many stories, and links that draw people in to take a look… I guess most recently, my involvement with SeedCamp, and my place on the London Tech 2.0 scene, has added a little bit of extra interest. Though to be fair, I’ve had as many people just generally finding the blog, searching for all sorts of different things, from “shintaido”, and “bbc 3 karate”, to “friends” and “softlenses.com” as I have had people just coming direct to my blog, as a consequence of seeing it on my profile on twitter, or Ecademy. (Twitter being the most dominant one to bring in new visitors! – Thanks, twitter!)
I guess over the coming months, I’m going to start using the blog more as a place to store my thoughts, and share my ideas.. Capture those things that I think are neat, and unique, and in turn, pro-actively get more involved with other people’s blogs too.. Where will I find the time, and how will I manage this, with a full time job?? Well, that’s a different matter altogether, for now, I’ll just work on writing what I love, and letting the rest happen in it’s own time. I just wish I could get better, and faster at writing articles, so instead of taking hours, I could do it in minutes.. But I guess that’s just a matter of practice, and developing the right habits, to make sure I don’t get distracted, whilst in mid thought, or mid sentence. In the meantime, feel free to leave a comment, or let me know what you think, whenever you feel like responding to anything, I’d definitely welcome the interaction with my audience…
